Family Run Business
Assist and Care is a family run business comprising of Tracey and Keera (Mother and Daughter), they are extremely passionate about providing care and support for anyone who needs it. Assist & Care was born from personal experience of caring for their parents and grandparents. Fed up of being told what support they could have and not the support they wanted or needed for their loved ones. Often despairing as a family as to how they could get the support that mattered and that would enhance their parents and grandparents lives and not upset the family.

Keera grew up spending many hours with her grandparents, especially with her grandma who was in a wheelchair, it became second nature for Keera to assist them whenever she could. This childhood experience motivated Keera to achieve a degree in Health and Social Care. Keera has not only brought her academic skills to the company, but also her empathy, sensitivity and understanding that she learnt throughout her lifetime experiences.
Tracey’s own experience of caring began at the age of just 15, when her mother was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and later when she cared for her father at home during his battle with cancer. Tracey gained first-hand experience of the lack of help that was available to the family during this time. The service that was provided was very generic and did not always meet the holistic needs of her parents and the rest of the family. Tracey decided after the death of her parents to take up a career in caring as it was something she felt extremely passionate about, determined that community care could be delivered to a high standard in the community.
Tracey’s professional career as a carer included working in individuals homes, nursing homes, hospitals and also with a local trust providing care for adults with learning disabilities, throughout Tracey works with a holistic approach.
It is a personal mission for Tracey and Keera to provide the best care and helping hands. A lifelong passion to care for others with dignity and respect and always going the extra mile is at the heart of the company. Consequently, they have grown the business by introducing other key staff members.
Amanda has grown within the Company from Carer to Team Leader, Care Co Ordinator and is now our Assistant Care Manager. Amanda ensures the daily running of the company is running smoothly and all daily client calls are covered and monitored. Amanda likes to make sure our clients have continuity of care and matches the client and carer. Amanda delivers specific one-one training on key areas including moving and handling and medication. She has previously worked in both community and residential settings for many years, working with individuals with complex care needs and caring and supporting her loved ones.
Alma joined Assist and Care in 2017 as a carer, she has grown within the company and has recently took over the Team Leader position. Alma is community-based supporting with undertaking spot checks and quality assurance visits to clients to ensure clients are happy with the service that we provide.
Maria is our Office Administrator. She is responsible for day to day administration duties in the office. As part of the Assist and Care family Maria supports the daily running of the office
She joined the team in 2016 as a Care Assistant and still shares her duties between the office and her regular clients as she has a passion to provide the best care possible.

COVID 19 UPDATE
During these uncertain times Assist and Care are still operating and supporting as normal, without any disruption.
We are also pleased to let you know we have plenty of PPE and hand sanitiser for the safety of all, also all our staff have had extra infection control training.
Staff are updated as and when needed with latest information and reminders of how and when to wear PPE. Also to wash hands as frequently as is possible
